Adam Compton, Executive Director of Annual Giving, North Carolina State University
Adam serves as the Executive Director of Annual Giving at North Carolina State University, where he integrates annual giving strategies with alumni engagement and major gift development. He led the launch of NC State’s Day of Giving, developed a leadership giving program, and restructured annual giving within alumni engagement. Adam believes in aligning annual giving with marketing communications to enhance brand presence and drive engagement. Previously, he was the Deputy Campaign Manager for the university’s $2B campaign and held roles as Director of Special Projects and Major Gift Officer in University Advancement.
Lauren Gerber, Director of the Annual Fund and Interim Director for Gift Planning, Saint Mary’s School
Lauren is Saint Mary’s School’s Director of the Annual Fund and Interim Director of Gift Planning. She joined the advancement team in 2016 and has also filled other institution roles including time filling in as interim Director of Marketing and Communications (2021-2022), Senior Project Manager for Institutional Advancement (2022-2023), and formerly as the Director of the Annual Fund, Major Gifts, and Development Communications (2016-2021).
Kendra Paiz, Director of Annual Funds, The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
Kendra Paiz is the Director of Annual Funds at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, where she has dedicated the past three years to leading a dynamic team focused on innovative fundraising strategies that prioritize community centric fundraising. Under her leadership, the Annual Fund team at the Food Bank has successfully raised funds through a variety of channels, including direct response marketing, giving circles, focused campaigns, and peer-to-peer fundraising. Additionally, Kendra manages the organization’s Planned Giving program and plays a key role in stewardship efforts.
Refreshments and networking will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Downstairs Conference Room of 700 Park Offices Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709, where you can check in and receive your name badge. The panel discussion will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 10:30 a.m. The session will end with an audience Q&A, so be sure to bring your questions!
The cost to attend is $10 for AFP Triangle Members and $20 for non-members.
