Let’s fire up your board members about fundraising! Our presenter, Gail Perry, will show you how to develop a more enthusiastic, engaged board that’s excited about possibilities for your organization and eager to play a part in making them happen.
Board members, Executive Directors, and development staff will discover:
- Exercises to help board members develop their own personal message.
- Best practices and easy roles for board members to engage in fundraising.
- The delicate art of opening the door to a donor without being pushy.
- An introduction to “friendraising” for board members who are nervous about fundraising.

Gail Perry, MBA CFRE is founder of the Gail Perry Group, a consulting company that helps nonprofits achieve extraordinary fundraising results. An international fundraising leader, keynote speaker, trainer and author with more than 30 years’ experience, Gail is renowned for her positivity, expertise and insight. She’s coached more than 60 capital campaigns and leads powerful board workshops worldwide.
The session will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Five Points Center for Active Adults, located at 2000 Noble Rd, Raleigh, NC 27608, and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. Attendees are then invited move locations to Lynwood Brewing Concern, 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604 for refreshments and a social hour, “Elevate & Engage: A Networking Event for Fundraisers.”
