Can you believe that spring is here? Time for March madness, and I am not just referring to basketball. We all have upcoming events, proposals, and countless other responsibilities in both our professional and personal lives. Despite this busy season, I want you to ask yourself what seed have you planted that will begin to bloom as the sun becomes constant and rain showers begin to fall. The Philanthropy Forecast set the tone for the chapter as an outstanding program giving us the economic forecast to help us propel our missions. Our ethics panel reiterated the importance of transparency and honesty in our profession, and I cannot wait to learn about fundraising and government relations and hear from our distinguished panel on diversity as it relates to our profession. I believe all of these seeds and bits of information are allowing us to grow and thrive as successful, ethical development professionals. Your AFP chapter is planting a great harvest of fundraisers. I challenge you to sow a seed as a mentor in our Professional Development program. Learn more about this program and how to apply here. Another way to give back is to serve on a committee. We began this year with a spirit of rejuvenation; let’s enter into this season with a spirit of giving back and growth. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on twitter.
