Created in August 2011 by the African Women’s Development Fund USA, Black Philanthropy Month is an annual, global celebration to amplify, uplift, and empower Black funding in all its forms. Since its founding, millions of people and organizations across the globe have celebrated every August as a month of celebration and renewal of giving to and by African-descent communities.
