Triangle Gives Back is a strategic alliance of regional leaders who want to inspire all communities throughout the Triangle to give their time, talents, and treasures in ways that make a long-term difference. Through drawing attention to corporations, organizations and individuals who are philanthropists - with a special emphasis on unsung heroes and traditionally unrecognized individuals - the goals of the initiative are to:
 
        Increase awareness about the meaning of philanthropy and current status of giving in the Triangle.
       Inspire increased participation in philanthropy in all of its forms.
 
Sponsored annually by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Philanthropy Day recognizes and awards philanthropists that enhance the quality of life in the Triangle through their acts of generosity.
