CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

 

Honoring Philanthropy Heroes in Our Community

Nominations will be accepted from July 1 - August 31, 2010.

NOMINATE HERE

 

Our purpose is to recognize outstanding philanthropic achievements in our community - achievements that enhance the quality of life in the greater Triangle area and demonstrate how the spirit of joyful giving can change our community and our world.   We seek deserving recipients for the following award categories:
 

·        Excellence in Philanthropy

o       Celebrating an individual, couple, business, religious, or service organization whose legacy of achievement is built upon impactful giving to humankind.

·        Innovation in Philanthropy

o       Celebrating an innovative fundraising idea, event, or strategy that encourages greater philanthropic involvement in the community. Award winners can be an individual, organization, or company.   

·        Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy

o       Celebrating a for-profit company that demonstrates its commitment to the success of our nonprofit sector through its philanthropic investments.  Support through a dynamic employee giving or volunteer service program will also be considered provided there is clear evidence of the company’s support and promotion for such programs.

·        Outstanding Fundraising Executive

o       Celebrating the achievements of a uniquely qualified fundraising professional who demonstrates the highest standards of fundraising excellence in service to their organization and to the profession. (Note, this award requires that the development professional being nominated is a member in good standing with the Association of Fundraising Professionals.)

·        Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser

o       Celebrating an individual or couple whose volunteer fundraising efforts have significantly impacted one or more charitable organizations and the causes they represent.

·        Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (up to age 20)

o       Celebrating a young person who has demonstrated extraordinary service to a community or cause, evidenced in part by creative or substantial volunteer fundraising activity. 

·        Outstanding Philanthropic Organization

o       Celebrating a nonprofit, religious or other service organization that has had a significant impact in improving the lives of those in their community, state, nation, or world.
